CIPH celebrates 85th anniversary
February 8, 2018
Today marks 85th anniversary of the Canadian Institute of Plumbing and Heating (CIPH).
After recognizing the importance of giving the industry a unified voice, the association was officially incorporated in Montreal on February 8, 1933. The nine founding members appointed Ivan Leger, of James Robertson Company, CIPH’s first president.
Today, CIPH represents the interests of more than 280 member companies that employ more than 20,000 people across the country. The association exists to provide learning opportunities, provide knowledge, and bring members together to interact and share ideas.
The association also engages in advocacy on local, national and international scales. Past advocacy efforts have focused on the uniformity and harmonization of plumbing and heating standards, regulations, and codes.
Congratulations on reaching this impressive milestone CIPH!
