Grohe recognized for sustainability
October 10, 2017
Grohe, part of Lixil, is the lone plumbing brand listed in Fortune magazine’s ”Change the World” ranking this year. The list includes 50 international companies whose business strategies have a demonstrably positive impact on society.
The assessment evaluates the quantifiable social benefit, economic viability and degree of innovation of different companies. In its decision statement,
the magazine’s jury explicitly commended the company’s extraordinary commitment to saving water and energy, as well as to avoiding waste, including recycling 99 per cent of the water needed to manufacture the company’s kitchen and bathroom faucets.
”Grohe strives everyday to make products for consumers that will drive enjoyment in their lives without losing site of tomorrow and our future generations, and we are beyond proud to be recognized for our efforts,” said Valerie Malone, vice-president of marketing for Lixil Canada.
”We are overjoyed at this accolade and very proud. Sustainability has always been an integral part of our company’s DNA. We will continue to contribute to sustainability with our innovative products and technologies, so that future generations will also have the opportunity to experience the ‘Pure Freude an Wasser’ without worries,” said Grohe CEO Michael Rauterkus.
