Stelpro employees run for CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation
June 13, 2018
Seventy Stelpro employees crossed the finish line of the 15th edition of Mont-Saint-Bruno’s Grande virée des sentiers on June 10, raising funds for the CHU Sainte-Justine Foundation.
Through their efforts, the company amassed a donation of $17,675 for this year’s event, the eleventh consecutive in which Stelpro employees have participated. Over that time, they have managed to donate almost $190,000 to support the hospital foundation.
”This cause is especially important to us. Every year, Stelpro meets the Grande virée des sentiers challenge, which provides an opportunity for our team to bond and have a good time while also committing to helping sick children,” said company president Yves Chabot. ”Our support can make a big difference in children’s lives, and, as a bonus, we keep fit!”
The company donated $250 to the foundation for every employee who crossed the finish line. Every year, the company also supports children through a $2,500 Grande course des enfants sponsorship.
Started in 1981, Stelpro employs more than 400 people in two manufacturing plants, Saint-Bruno-de-Montarville and Grand-Mère, manufacturing over 800,000 heating units each year.
